God and His Plans
By Natalie Osbun

Keeping strong with your faith can be hard, especially when things go wrong in your life. During times when you lose sight of the path God has made for you, you might start to wonder what your purpose in life is, why you are on this earth, or if you even believe in God.
When I struggled with these same exact questions, I did the only logical thing. I went to a pastor I trusted and talk to him about it. When we talked he told me I had to answer a very important question about my faith. Which camp did I want to belong to? I
know it sounds crazy but trust me the whole thing makes complete sense. See people believe one of two things.Either they believe that some all powerful being
created the world, or they believe that atoms came together by chance to make what
we call our bodies and planet. And I wasn't sure which camp I wanted to be apart of. So did more research.
At this time I was in confirmation at my church. One day Pastor Sattlor talked about exactly this. He talked about the camp that believed that science made us, and compared it to a snowman. He told me, when you see a snowman outside do you say, “Oh wow look at that! The snow just happened to fall into the exact shape of a snowman!” or do you say “Huh wonder who made that?” I realized that we were like snowmen. God created us all. Not just people who walk this earth with no purpose, but he decided to make each and every one of us. He decided that someone like you was needed on this earth, that someone like you had a purpose.
This reminds me of Jeremiah 29:11. God says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God has a plan for each and every one of you. I know he made me and you I know he made us with a purpose. We are not just here, we are here because God needs us all, and Jesus died for us. So don't fret about the future, because God has it all worked out.
